Packing Supplies
When packing your fragile belongings, such as ceramic dishes or computers, into Moving Boxes, there are easy and effective ways to pad and insulate these boxes using your pillows, blankets and even clothing. This not only can save you money on moving supplies like Bubble Wrap and Packing Paper, but also gives you more room in the Moving Boxes that these soft materials would have otherwise been packed in.

When used alongside Bubble Wrap and Packing Paper you can keep just about anything safe during transit using this method. Here are some guidelines on effectively using your clothing and other materials for insulation:

  • Line all Sides of the Box, as well as the Corners with at least 2 layers of clothing or an exceptionally thick blanket.
  • Pack The Boxes tight enough so that the fragile material does not shift around during transit, but not so tight that you damage the objects inside.
  • If you use Styrofoam in conjunction with clothing for padding you may end up getting hard to remove Styrofoam chips all over your clothes. It is preferable to either use Bubble Wrap or Packing Paper instead.
